औरंगाबाद। 1942 की अगस्त क्रांति के दौरान आज ही के दिन अंग्रेजों की गोली से पटना में बिहार विधानसभा के सामने राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराने के क्रम में अपने छह साथियों के साथ शहीद हुए जगतपति कुमार को उनके गृह जिले औरंगाबाद में विभिन्न संगठनों द्बारा श्रद्धापूर्वक याद किया गया और कार्यक्रम आयोजित कर उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की गई। ग्लोबल कायस्थ कॉन्फ्रें स की ओर से आयोजित कार्यक्रम में जगतपति अमर रहे के नारे लगाए गए। इस अवसर पर नागरिकों ने जिला मुख्यालय में स्थापित उनकी दो प्रतिमाओं और उनके पैतृक गांव खरांटी में स्थापित स्मारक पर माल्यार्पण तथा श्रद्धा सुमन अर्पित किया गया। ग़ौरतलब है कि आजादी की लड़ाई में औरंगाबाद जिले से अपने प्राणों को न्योछावर करने वाले जगतपति कुमार एकमात्र अमर सेनानी थ्ो। लेकिन इनके बलिदान दिवस पर राज्य सरकार या जिला प्रशासन की ओर से उनके गृह जिले में कोई भी राजकीय कार्यक्रम आयोजित नहीं किए जाने का मलाल जिलेवासियों को है।
ग्लोबल कायस्थ कॉन्फ्रें स के राष्ट्रीय उपाध्यक्ष कमल किशोर ने कहा कि बिहार के वीर सपूत जगतपति कुमार ने हमारे तिरंगे के सम्मान के लिये अपने प्राणों की आहूति दी। उनकी शहादत को याद करना हम सभी का कर्तव्य है। शहीद जगतपति की जीवनी तथा उनकी वीरता एवं शौर्य को पाठ्यक्रम में शामिल किया जाना चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि वर्तमान दौर में उनकी राष्ट्रप्रेम की भावना को एक बार पुन: जगाने की जरूरत है। श्री किशोर ने कहा कि शहीद जगतपति का जन्म औरंगाबाद जिले के ओबरा प्रखंड के अंतर्गत खराटी गांव के एक जमींदार परिवार में हुआ। वह 1942 के भारत छोड़ो आंदोलन के समय मात्र 19 वर्ष के थे। 11 अगस्त 1942 को पटना में युवकों की एक टोली ने सचिवालय के भवन पर तिरंगा झंडा फहराने की कोशिश की। उस वक्त जगतपति कुमार पटना में रहकर बीएन कॉलेज में पढ़ाई कर रहे थे। वह भी इस जुलूस में शामिल थ्ो। जैसे ही देशभक्तों की यह टोली पटना सचिवालय के पास तिरंगा फहराने के लिए पहुंची, पटना के डिप्टी पुलिस कमिश्नर के आदेश पर फायरिग कर दी गई।
इस फायरिग में जगतपति कुमार सहित कुल 7 युवकों ने अपनी शहादत दी।इस अवसर पर भाजपा के पूर्व जिलाध्यक्ष रामानुज पांडेय ने कहा कि शहीद जगतपति कुमार ने देश के लिए अपना खून बहाया है। हर भारतीय उनका कर्जदार है। देश के लिए प्राण न्योछावर करने से बढ़ कर कुछ नहीं है। इस दौरान जीकेसी के पदाधिकारियों अजय कुमार श्रीवास्तव, श्रीराम अम्बट, राजू रंजन सिन्हा, राजेश कुमार, सूर्यकान्त, अभय सिन्हा, सुनील सिन्हा, सुनील कुमार, उदय कृष्ण, संजय कुमार, रामानुज पाण्डेय, अखौरी अमित, अमित कुमार, आशीष सिन्हा, मधुसूदन प्रसाद सिन्हा, मधुसूदन श्रीवास्तव, विनय श्रीवास्तव, ओमप्रकाश सिन्हा, प्रवीण कुमार, मनीष कुमार, मनीष श्रीवास्तव, रितिक श्रीवास्तव, शिवम सिन्हा, दीपक बलजोरी सहित सैकड़ों लोग उपस्थित थे।
