I took up this role to confront my fear: Sanaya Irani on Ghost
Sanaya Irani’s reason behind signing on Ghost will shock you!
When it comes to the horror genre in India, Vikram Bhatt is undoubtedly the game-changer and has proved his worth time and again. His next film Ghost stars the beautiful Sanaya Irani and Shivam Bhaargava as lead roles. Sanaya, who has been receiving immense acclaim for her acting and confidence in the clips that have released, is not one for horror movies as a viewer. Why then would she sign a film like Ghost? She revealed that she has always been frightened by horror movies but loves to watch them anyway. With Ghost, she decided to confront her fear and face the camera in scenes that she would otherwise watch with one eye open.
“I am very scared when it comes to ghost stories. I love watching them but I actually only hear them in the theatre because I don’t have it in me to keep my eyes open. Ghost is also one such film and I can’t believe I’m on the other side of the screen now. I took up this role to finally confront my fear and I’m glad I did. I had a great time acting in it”, says Sanaya Irani.
Vikram Bhatt shared that the idea of Ghost came to him when he read a newspaper article about how a British court allowed a matter involving spirits to be tried. He was intrigued and decided to channel his energy into this film. Ghost, A Vashu Bhagnani production, directed by Vikram Bhatt will release in cinemas on 18 October.
