INTEGRITY , HONESTY AND LOYALTY LEADS TO SUCCESS : DDEVJANI MITRA

Patna 12 july Well-known lady entrepreneur Ddevjani Mitra has not only seen a meteoric rise in Event Management Business, but has also risen like a star in the fields of Fashion & Beauty as well as Social Service. Her life is such a journey of struggle, challenges and achievements that speaks of a history undaunted courage. In her career, she has faced many challenges and has emerged victorious at every front.

Born at Durgapur in West Bengal to loving parents Mr. Dilip Kumar Mitra and Mrs. Ketaki Mitra who had a dream of making their daughter a Senior Officer but she was not interested in working for anyone else. Drawing inspiration from the iconic Manish Malhotra and Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Ddevjani also wanted to establish herself in the Fashion & Beauty Industry.

After completing her BSc. From Asansol in 2009, Ddevjani established Aspirations Management HR Consultancy and provided job opportunities in different sectors to many aspirants. Meanwhile, she also continued on her quest in the Fashion & Beauty Sector and to fulfil that she completed a 3-year advanced course from Indian Institute of Fashion Technology (IIFT), Kolkata.

It was during this period that she met Aashish K. Jha at Asansol, who was working as a Senior Manager at Coca-Cola at that time. Both of them decided to build an Event Management business together and organized a successful Fashion Show at IIFT Jamshedpur. In 2010, with big dreams and ambition, Ddevjani came to Patna along with Aashish and established her Event Management company Dreamz & Aspirations (D&A).

The first show organized by D&A was “Monsoon Ball” at the prestigious Asansol Club and it was highly appreciated. After this, D&A organized a Celebrity Show of popular International Pop Band – “Bombay Rockers” at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology and received tremendous accolades for that. By 2011-12, Ddevjani had diversified into Commercial Real Estate as well and was instrumental in bringing the first Cafe Coffee Day Outlet to Patna. The inaugural event saw the performance of well-known Sufi Singer Shadab Faridi who appreciated the efforts of D&A in organizing events like anything. After this, D&A organized a series of events which included “Thums Up Jalsa”, several brand activations and wedding events besides also organizing the much hyped Opening of Gold Gym at Patna which saw the likes of Dino Morea and Aditi Singh Sharma perform in the event.

Ddevjani also wanted to contribute to the cause of “Women Empowerment” and on these lines; she joined the prestigious Lions “Virangana” Club in 2016. Ddevjani believes that it is time to strengthen the women of India, especially Bihar and that every woman needs to be awakened and partake in the awakening of everyone else. Women have already lost a lot, now it’s time to take back what is their right and this initiative has to be taken by women themselves by stepping forward with the hope that soon the scenario will change and the lost glory and pride of Indian women will be restored.

Ddevjani and Aashish noticed the fact that the people of Bihar possess a lot of Intellectual Faculties and high levels of Intelligence and Industriousness but they primarily lack in confidence, grooming, personality and communication skills and this leads to their being treated differently at various stages of their lives, leading to their dismay and disappointment. To address this issue, they laid the foundation of “Business School” with the help of their guardian Mr. G. C. Jha where these topics were taught as subjects. At Business School, training is imparted in unique courses such as “i-Speak”, “i-Rich”, “i-Glam”, “i-Groom”, “i-Shoot”, “i-Fit”, “i-Craft”, etc. The training is done by Industry experts and the classrooms are fully equipped as per International Standards.

One of the flagship courses at Business School – “i-Glam” has been established to fulfil Ddevjani’s dream of establishing the Fashion & Modeling Industry of Bihar at an International level. Recently, i-Glam organized Mrs. India – She is India  2018 Uttar Pradesh Region Auditions at The Marriott, Lucknow at this event was the talk of the town with the who’s who of the Industry partaking in the event. After tasting initial success in her venture, Ddevjani is all set to establish i-Glam as the biggest Modeling, Grooming, Fashion and Beauty Brand of East & North India.

Ddevjani says that although her place of birth is West Bengal but her place of “karma” (work) is Bihar. Today Ddevjani is climbing the ladders of success one after another.  Her dreams did not get fulfilled just like that; a lot of hard work and sacrifice has gone behind that. Ddevjani gives entire credit of her success to her parents and her Business Partner Aashish who have always stood by her and supported her through thick and thin.
